$10 million dollar settlement with a Chicago-Based Hospital and Neurosurgeon for the improper embolization of an Arterio-Venous Malformation (“AVM”) resulting in the paralysis of a 13-year-old girl.

In April 2024, Sukhman | Yagoda settled a case with a Chicago-based Hospital for its neurosurgeon’s failure to properly embolize an Arterio-Venue Malformation (“AVM”) in a 13-year-old girl’s thoracic spine resulting in her paralysis.  The neurosurgeon failed to use the proper provocative agent (Lidocaine) during the embolization procedure resulting in her paralysis.
